Our Story

We have kept so many people out of the loop of our lives the past few years. And we feel like now is the time to share a little bit of what has been going on, and why we have been so distant. A few years ago our lives started getting hit with disappointment after disappointment; jobs, health, and yes the dream of starting a family. We promised ourselves we would stay true to our faith and believe that everything that is going on in our life at this time is miserable and hard, but God has a plan for us. God has proven this to be right!
May of 2009 we decided to start a family. After many many months of negative pregnancy tests and Anthony picking me up from my pain filled tantrums, we decided to seek help. At first we were told that it was because of Anthony we were unable to conceive, but then were later told it was me as well. We were recommended to seek a fertility clinic to get more questions answered. Well after 20 minutes of sitting with a fertility doctor, we were told that we only had a 3% chance of conceiving naturally. Once again Anthony was there to pick me up from the floor of grief, and show me the love and grace of God. We were told that IVF (In-Vetro Fertilization) would be the best option. We were not convinced!
After a lot of prayer and plenty of walks around the block together, Anthony and I decided IFV was not for us at the time. We felt God was telling us that if it wasn’t happening naturally then it wasn’t our time to have a family. Of course this took the pressure off of us financially, but it most definitely did not stop the desire of wanting a baby.
One day as I was giving all of my worries and heartache to God, I heard a response so loud and clear it made me look around me to see if there was someone else in the room. What I heard I will remember always. God told me 3 months. I had no idea what this meant, whether it meant our lives would finally start looking up, Anthony could find a job he actually likes that could support us, his health would start improving (yes this was another HUGE worry the last few years….especially when my strong athletic husband has lost a whopping 35 pounds), or could it mean we would actually conceive. I continued to pray and continued to feel a peace that something would change.
September 29, 2010 we have discovered that God truly is a man of miracles! 3 months from the time I heard God speak, we found out that we are expecting a baby! 100% naturally, 100% miracle! This battle of disappointments is not completely over, but we have seen so many changes. Anthony’s health has started to improve drastically, and he has found a job that could potentially be something a feels confident in. Through all of this we have learned so many things. Anthony and I are a great team especially when we put God first, God should always be the center of our lives, and that with God ALL things are possible! We are no longer silent about this time of our lives and invite anyone to ask us questions if you want to know more.
We hope you enjoy our blog! I have dreamed of being able to blog about my pregnancy and my FAMILY for a long time!
